When should I arrive in Vancouver?
We recommend you schedule your travel arrangements to arrive in Vancouver no later than 4:00pm Pacific on the first day of Kickoff: Monday, February 8 for Shack Shine attendees, and Tuesday, February 9 for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? attendees.

Registration
At registration, you will receive your name tag, which is an entry requirement for all Kickoff events, with the exception of the Awards Gala. Your name tag is required for the offsite Welcome Reception. The name tag includes a QR code for easy access to the Kickoff agenda.

Kickoff registration will be open at the JW Marriott Parq Hotel, outside of the Parq Ballroom on the 4th floor:

• 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Monday, February 8
• 7:00am to 4:30pm on Tuesday, February 9 and Wednesday, February 10

*If you are unable to collect your name tag at our registration desk, our team will have a satellite registration desk at the Welcome Reception where you will be able to collect your name tag. Stay tuned for Welcome Reception details.

How do I and/or my guest collect my name tag?
You can collect your name tag on arrival at the registration desk, outside of the Parq Ballroom on the 4th floor:

Is my Kickoff name tag required for all events?
Yes, your name tag is required for access into all events at Kickoff, as our event staff will be checking for name tags at all the event access points. 

Is in-person attendance mandatory? 
Yes, this is a fully in-person event, there will not be a virtual attendance option. All franchises must send at least one person from their franchise to attend the event, as per your franchise agreement. 

When does registration close? 
Registration for Kickoff 2027 closes January 8, 2027. The deadline will not be extended this year. 

What are the Kickoff 2027 fees?

• Single occupancy room: $1,650 CAD
• Double occupancy room: $1,350 CAD 

What is the price for Kickoff if I do not stay at the hotel?
If you choose not to stay at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver for Kickoff, you will be charged the double occupancy rate of $1,350 CAD for the event costs, and will be responsible for coordinating your own accommodations off site.

Can I bring a guest to the event (partner/spouse/friend)? What are the costs associated and what are they invited to attend?
If you would like to bring a guest, you have the opportunity to purchase a guest pass during registration, which allows your guest to attend the evening events. The cost of a guest ticket for Kickoff 2027 is $550 CAD. They will be invited to attend the Welcome Reception & Awards Gala.

If I am bringing a guest (partner/spouse/friend) that is not a Franchise attendee, which Kickoff package do I select?
If you are sharing a room with a guest (partner/spouse/friend) that is not a Franchise attendee, please select the single occupancy package ($1,650 CAD). 

What do Kickoff fees include?

• Three nights' accommodation at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. 
  • Shack Shine: February 8 - 10, 2027 (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night, checking out Thursday morning)
  • 1-800-GOT-JUNK?: February 9 - 11, 2027 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night, checking out Friday morning)
• Tuesday night Welcome Reception
• Breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks during event
• Keynote Session
• Brand track sessions
• Awards Gala dinner and reception

Are hotel incidentals covered in my Kickoff hotel accommodations package?
No, hotel incidentals are not covered in your Kickoff hotel accommodations package. If you charge anything to your room, you will be responsible to cover the charges when you check out of the hotel. 

How do I pay for Kickoff?
The fees for Kickoff will be collected via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). We will collect full registration fees from all registered attendees on January 29, 2027. If you have any questions about the payment process, please contact events@o2ebrands.com. 

How do I book the hotel accommodation nights that are part of the Kickoff package?
Once you have completed your registration, the Kickoff event team will book your hotel accommodation on your behalf as part of a master rooming list. This list is provided to the hotel by mid-January 2027. To request hotel changes you can modify your registration here or email events@o2ebrands.com. 

How do I book additional nights outside of those that are part of the Kickoff package?
When you are registering online for Kickoff 2027, you will have the option to request additional nights with your registration. These nights will be booked on your behalf with your entire event registration. Additional hotel nights outside of the three provided nights are not included in your Kickoff package, and will be the responsibility of the attendee to pay for all additional nights booked upon check out. 

How much do additional nights cost and how do I pay for these nights?
Additional nights at the hotel cost $309 CAD per night plus any applicable fees/hotel taxes and are available on a first come, first served basis. If rooms are no longer available at the above group rate, rooms will cost the prevailing rate and are subject to change daily based on availability. 

If you register before the January 8 deadline, and require additional room nights outside what is included in your Kickoff package, we will do our best to secure those rooms on your behalf, and inform you if those requested additional nights are not available.

Additional hotel nights outside of your Kickoff package are payable when you check out of the hotel. Please come prepared with a credit card to pay for any additional nights, plus any incidentals you charge to your room.

IMPORTANT: If you add any additional nights to your registration, and you do not check in on the date you specified when completing your registration, you are responsible for the costs of the additional night(s), and you are at risk of having any remaining additional room nights cancelled. It is important to inform the Kickoff events team of any changes to your hotel reservation. 

I missed the registration deadline and need to book additional nights. What should I do?
If you missed the registration deadline, please email events@o2ebrands.com to inquire about availability to register. After the deadline, we cannot guarantee availability of hotel accommodations at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver.

Changes to your registration can be made here. Please note, that any changes to your registration, including changing your arrival and/or departure information, must be received no later than Friday, January 8 and are subject to availability and change fees (if received after January 8, 2027). Any changes after January 8 will be handled on a case by case basis, and are not guaranteed until our team has connected with the hotel to make the change request on your behalf.

Can I still share a room if I don't have a roommate picked out?
Yes. If you don't have a roommate to share with, the Kickoff team (Junktion) will assign you a roommate. Please select the package option “Double Occupancy Package - Please assign me a roommate $1,350 CAD.”

What happens if I do not send anyone to Kickoff this year?
If you are unable, or choose to not send anyone to Kickoff, please refer to your Franchise Agreement & brand’s Operation Manual for applicable no show fees (Currently $1,350 CAD for Kickoff 2027) + Liquidated Damages as outlined in your brand's Operations Manual.

When is check-in and check-out at the hotel? 
You will receive a separate email the week of January 25 confirming your hotel and dates. Please review it carefully as it will identify which hotel you are staying at: JW Marriott (check in on the main lobby level), or The Douglas (check in on the sixth floor). If you did not receive an email, reach out to events@o2ebrands.com.

Check-in is available from 4:00pm; check-out is 12:00pm noon. Should you be arriving or departing outside of these times, you may leave your bags with the concierge.

Is there parking available?
Self-parking is available at $55/daily. 
Valet service is available at $65/daily.
 

What are the costs to change/substitute my registration?
Any substitutions, late guest registrations, changes or transfers received after January 8, are subject to a $75 CAD administration fee per change. 

What is the cancellation policy for Kickoff 2027? 
Requests for registration cancellations must be submitted by email to events@o2ebrands.com, and are subject to the refund policies outlined below:

1. Before January 8, 2027: No cost; any monies paid will be fully refunded
2. January 8 - January 15, 2027: 50% of shared accommodation fee applies ($675 CAD)
3. January 15 - January 22, 2027: 75% of shared accommodation fee applies ($1012.50 CAD)
4. After January 22, 2027: Full shared accommodation fee applies ($1350 CAD)

If cancellation results in your franchise not sending a representative, please refer to your brand’s Operation Manual for applicable no-show fees (Currently $1350 CAD for Kickoff 2027) + liquidated damages. Please connect with your franchise operations manager for more information and assistance. 

In the event of an emergency or illness that impacts your ability to attend, registrations are fully transferable and you can send someone approved by the Franchisor as a substitute in your place; however the cancellation fees as set out above shall still apply in the event of such cancellation and if no substitution occurs. Transfers due to illness or emergency will not be charged any administration fee.

What happens if I need to cancel my guests registration? Will I be charged? 
Requests for guest registration cancellations must be submitted by email to events@o2ebrands.com and are subject to the refund policies above. 

I booked additional nights outside of what is included in my Kickoff package, and need to cancel/change my arrival/departure date(s). What are the additional costs associated with the change, and how do I make the change?
If you need to make any changes to your arrival/departure date(s) please email event@o2ebrands.com. Changes must be submitted 72 hours in advance of your arrival/departure date, to avoid a charge of one night’s hotel accommodations. Please note you are subject to the additional administrative fee of $75 CAD if the change is received after January 8, 2027. 

Dress Code
Business casual attire is mandatory and branded clothing is always encouraged. Please remember to dress professionally at all Kickoff events. 

The Awards Gala is a dress-to-impress event, where we invite you to celebrate the successes of 2026 in style!

Always remember to wear your name badge. It’s your all-access pass to attend every event.
