The Canadian forest sector is facing a perfect storm of poor markets, high tariffs, and unaffordable fibre. In this important keynote address, Derek Nighbor outlines the state of the Canadian forest industry, while framing FPAC’s efforts to work with the Federal Government providing interim support measures. Derek is joined by panelists Ken Kalesnikoff and Glenn Hargroves to discuss the federal forestry task force recommendations and review actions taken by the federal government to address the sector’s current challenges.
