Vanessa Simard, CPA, MBA, is Senior Director of Quality and Performance for the Real Estate Financing Group at National Bank of Canada.

She has worked in the finance sector for over 10 years, including 8 years in banking. She earned her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2013, then completed her MBA in Business Management in 2018. Vanessa possesses strong strategic insight into organizations and sharp financial analysis skills.

Since her university years, Vanessa has enjoyed getting involved with various associations whose missions are close to her heart. Notably, she has been active in the Women in Finance Committee since 2018, where she took on the co-leadership role in January 2022. She has also served on two boards of directors as Treasurer for over 3 years.

Despite her vast ambitions and growing leadership, Vanessa continually balances work and family life. As a devoted mother of two young children, it is family moments that allow her to pause and take the time to gently enjoy life.
